Adam qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Birmingham in 1994 and completed his junior physiotherapy rotations at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
In 2006, Adam served with the British Army in Afghanistan, providing physiotherapy for international forces serving at ISAF HQ. He has also worked in the private health sector, working at BUPA Hospital Southampton, which later became Spire Hospital Southampton. In 2007, Adam set up New Forest Physiotherapy Clinic Ltd to provide musculoskeletal physiotherapy treatment, and he continues to work full time at the clinic today.
Adam has a particular interest in vocational and employment rehabilitation – supporting people back to work, sport or other functional activities. He will design programmes to facilitate return to employment; this may involve task analysis, job re-design and adaptation of the environment linked to functional assessment of the individual.
