Expertise

Rebecca has over 20 years of experience helping patients and their families manage the consequence of a wide range of issues resulting from neurological (including brain injury and FND), orthopeadic and pain conditions.

Rebecca has experience of treating clients with pre-existing disabilities and complex comorbidities. She can formulate rehabilitation and vocational plans for both work and self-care, taking all past medical history into account.

Rebecca is fully trained in the Bobath approach to neurological rehabilitation and has experience in spasticity management, vestibular assessment and treatment, orthotics, hydrotherapy, functional electrical stimulation (FES), Saebo and the Mollii suits. She has a problem solving, practical approach to functional disability, developing bespoke treatment plans that evolve through constant clinical analysis.

After qualifying as a physiotherapist in 1992, Rebecca worked in several NHS roles and in the USA.

She took on more senior positions in neurology and neurosurgery and then became a leader in a large NHS rehabilitation centre in Sussex.

Rebecca has established her own physiotherapy practice and works with associates and other case managers in the south of England.

Rebecca has been with Rehab Direct as a case manager since 2021.

Rebecca considers the psychological and social aspects of each individual client when making recommendations after assessing their biological factors. This allows her to make informed decisions on the most pertinent treatments to carry out or to arrange.

Rebecca has practical skills and experience in all major aspects of physiotherapy and has been a Case Manager since 2015.
